Pressure vessels fabricated overseas must be surveyed during fabrication stage by an approved TPIA or accredited IB to ensure that they’re designed and fabricated in accordance with international standards, before imported for use in Singapore.
MOM no longer accepts new applications or renewals for TPIAs. However, MOM will continue to recognise the validity of the fabrication surveys carried out by current TPIAs until the end of their validity period.
